Every day I discover new updates for my PC, and today I learned about Legacy and UEFI. In the motherboard settings I saw Legacy available, currently set to Legacy. Should I switch to UEFI (it might offer faster boot times)? If I do, will changing it erase all my data?

Edit: My SSD uses GPT formatting with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, Corsair Vengance LPX RAM (2*8GB), MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX motherboard, CoolerMaster MasterWatt 650 PSU, and a GIGABYTE GTX 1060 GPU.

UEFI is acceptable but avoid modifications unless your disk is formatted as GPT. Otherwise, Windows won't boot. You might need to change the format first via the provided link. This process won't erase any information.
