From the screenshot it appears the app (Line) adds a background outline on your screen. Everything functions properly, but it’s just bothersome. I’m unsure what specific details to share, so please let me know if you need further assistance.

The app should vanish along with it, yes. I need it to stay out of focus.

Certainly, the app wasn't intended to run in that environment. You might want to turn off the compositor, though this will also affect several desktop animations.
