I installed RUFUS but found the USB-FDD is still set up as if it were connected. It’s frustrating when the system boots into Ubuntu despite that.

the usb fdd setting doesn't appear correctly after connecting the device, causing it to be recognized as an hdd instead.

Adjust the boot sequence so USB comes first, then your internet HDD. Use Rufus to set the correct boot order. Change the boot type accordingly.

Are you asking if it will include the USB ID, but it currently doesn’t? I’m trying my best to understand. Thanks for clarifying.

It should display as a USB drive labeled with the brand name, such as "XYZ USB Stick" or similar, unless it's an extremely low-cost POS device without a visible name. It must appear as a USB drive under the HDD designation.
