Hello, I installed UbuntuServer on my workstation (details here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BcqCCy) and keep encountering the same issue: "nmi watchdog detected hard lockup on cpu 8." It’s preventing me from doing anything. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks.

What are the specifications of the device? I encountered a problem where my GPU lacked drivers. Try pressing "e" during startup to switch to software rendering mode.

It might be the issue. Check if it occurs during startup or after launching the desktop.

I owned a 710GT a few years back and faced booting issues. Switching from a 9800GTX running Debian caused problems, so I resolved it by uninstalling and reinstalling the right driver.
