Ubuntu Server 13.10 for Nintendo Wii setup
Ubuntu 13.10 Server Designed for Nintendo Wii For more details visit the GitHub repository https://github.com/Wiibuntu/Ubuntu-13.10-Wii. The initiative focuses on adapting newer Ubuntu releases for the Wii. This release is built upon Wii-Linux-NGX yet utilizes a different kernel, specifically the latest one. It also supports Ubuntu 13 instead of Debian 8, with two kernel options available through Gumboot. Further guidance is provided in the "How To Boot" section of the GitHub page. Wi-Fi setup: The previous unstable Ubuntu 14 version for the Wii contained a Wi-Fi issue with driver b43. This current build avoids that problem and works correctly. For setup, use the "whiite-ez-wifi-config" file in /home/ubuntu and configure Wi-Fi manually. If needed, edit the network interface file at /etc/network/interfaces to add your SSID and passkey.
