Ubuntu optimized for a 32-bit Celeron M processor
Set up a live USB without installing anything. The system needs a version compatible with i686 or i868. I’m new to Ubuntu, so any guidance would be helpful.
Your processor is an i686, it should function properly. i686 supports PEMPIUM PRO and newer versions.
What you need to do is figure out how to let it move past that section and keep going.
You can choose the download link provided: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/curr...esktop.iso
The system indicates it needs an x86-64 processor but only found an i686 one detected. Boot attempt failed—please use a kernel suited for your CPU. Will try the version you recommended. (Updated) I tried the download and it functioned. The older 686 version worked but was slow, likely because of the Celeron or USB setup. I’ll keep searching for faster OS options (like Chrome OS) or continue optimizing Linux performance. Thanks!
