Hello. The issue with Ubuntu 22.04 failing during installation in VirtualBox is often linked to compatibility or system requirements. The error code E_FAIL(0X80004005) suggests a failure in the boot process. Check your hardware, ensure you have the right drivers, and verify that VirtualBox supports the version you're using. You might also try updating your system or reinstalling Ubuntu.

I encountered the same issue too—turning on virtualisation in BIOS and turning off Windows Hyper-V helped. For BIOS, look up the manual or search online for the virtualisation settings. Regarding Hyper-V, this link should clarify things better: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubl...th-hyper-v TLDR: Spoiler

Activate virtualization and boost the video memory allocated to the virtual OS for smoother performance. Also turn on 3D acceleration support. Happy VM testing!

In the past, it was feasible to execute vbox while disabling virtualization, even if it resulted in reduced performance.

I think it's possible if you set the VM to disable acceleration, though... the reduced speed makes it essentially non-functional.
