Hi everyone, I've been working with an RX Vega and a R9 290 setup for some time now. When I try to launch Claymore Miner, the GPU isn't showing up at all. I've got AMDGPU-Pro 17.40 installed alongside Rocm. In the first PCIe slot it appears in the miner, but when I connect the second GPU to another monitor, everything on that screen becomes unstable and glitchy. Have any ideas or troubleshooting steps you'd recommend?

The issue with the second card not showing up is a warning. It suggests the driver might be malfunctioning or the card could be damaged. I’m uncertain if the newest driver supports both cards or if they require different ones. EDIT: The driver should function with both cards. Try the R9 290 on another PC and check performance (tests, logs). Edited November 15, 2017 by NelizMastr Double-check

The cards function properly in the first PCIEx16 slot, and they also work well in the second slot when none are present there. I verified that both slots and cards operate without issues. Both models are compatible with AMDGPU-Pro 17.40.

The system recognizes both GPUs as VGA compatible, yet it fails to function with Claymore.
