Which operating system should I choose? I already have Windows XP, so I don’t need to buy it. I’m considering Ubuntu because it’s newer, but I’d like to hear what others think. The computer I plan to use fits both options. Thanks!

XP is quite outdated and lacks security; consider using Linux instead.

Windows XP no longer receives support. Ubuntu keeps improving and expanding. Unless the interface of Ubuntu doesn’t suit you and you prefer a more Windows-like appearance, that’s just personal preference.

Both options are excellent, but choose Ubuntu for its enhanced security features.

Because sometimes you need to ask just to clarify or move forward.

For a more Windows-style experience, especially with the Start menu, Zorin OS is a great option.

It might be helpful to explore Linux Mint as an alternative.
