It checks for screens on both devices. You wouldn’t be surprised if the system blocks access, especially since it doesn’t support Linux and you’re using a newer distro.

You're asking about displays and screen settings. I meant one monitor at a time, and you noticed Linux can render frames differently. You also mentioned trying a different version of SLI and wondering what "locking me out" means—probably confused with some restrictions. Don’t worry, this is pretty basic stuff and not meant for advanced users.

The second card's passive cooling might be a factor, but it's not the only consideration.
