Today Ubi dropped Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. I purchased it thinking it was stylish and priced at just $14. After downloading, it started up in 720p but displayed blurry visuals and an odd aspect ratio. A strange clicking noise appeared through my headphones. When I entered a level, it remained visible. I assumed the issue was with my headphones, so I watched a tutorial video—nothing worked. I checked the files on uplay and confirmed everything was fine. Then I tried launching it in native resolution, but it still showed black bars and the clicking persisted. I went to Graphics Options in settings, which isn’t really a settings menu. The options were... WAIT FOR IT... V-Sync Resolution and Full Screen—disappointed. I won’t buy Ubisoft games again until they release a solid PC version. (Hoping for The Division)

Honestly, I don't care much anymore after Black Flag. I once believed it was only for PS Vita, but Ubisoft just created something so deep they’d need a magical game to earn my "I’ll buy, play, and support it because Blizzard made it" mindset.

It's a game where you control a character moving across a flat, two-dimensional world.

It seems the game isn't working properly at all.

Regarding AC2, it was a much worse debut because you weren't able to use it right away.

I checked the Steam reviews, but they didn't reference the issues you're experiencing.

Ubisoft continues to release poor port versions? Any chance we’ll ever have better games?

It's a horizontal game. Visuals rarely affect players in those types of experiences.

It's a side-scrolling title, with graphics limited mainly to resolution and compatible across nearly all PCs.
