It's just pretending it needs an 18 rating when most purchases happen online now. It's easy to buy things digitally at almost any age, which might upset some parents. The gambling—loot boxes, microtransactions, NFTs—doesn't bother me since I don't support them. If a game forces you to buy essential items or gear that way, I completely avoid it. Ubi's direction has been clear since they changed Ghost Recon into a sci-fi fantasy loot game with tiered systems. Their constant greed makes me less enthusiastic about their announcements now.

Yes, Assassin's Creed. It's the franchise that shifts your role from assassin to warrior. Contains copied text, poor grammar, and basic gameplay mechanics.

If they didn't make mistakes, I hope they'd try another take on Assassin's Creed 3. Or perhaps something about the Civil War.

Most major developers and publishers seem focused on maximizing profits, cash, or market share these days. Some gamers are willing to pay anything for a AAA title, which partly explains this trend. I agree with that sentiment. I hope Mirage doesn’t follow the same path as the recent AC games and returns to simpler foundations. I stopped playing AC after BLACK FLAG; the earlier titles were quite solid.

Did you attempt syndicate? If not, it’s quite affordable. Give it a try. It stands out as the final entry in the one-line AC3, Black Flag series, etc. Plus, Unity performed well after the patch and delivered a solid narrative.

No, I haven't played syndicate yet. I understand it's set during the London era and it's enjoyable. I considered buying it but gave up because I had a lot of PC games waiting.
It's currently listed for $29.99 on STEAM. I'll wait for the next Steam discount before making a decision.
Also, UNITY was really good too, and it looks like one of the most visually appealing AC titles in the series, unless I'm wrong.

Unity was quite impressive. Near the finish, you have to navigate through the crowd while they bring King Louie to the guillotine.
I understand. I believe I purchased Ghost Recon Wildlands during the recent sale and haven’t played it yet.
