Suggested 8GB of memory? If the game was fine-tuned, then absolutely, enjoy the impressive features. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.
I wouldn’t waste time on this game, but if Ubisoft isn’t investing in future titles, I’ll steer clear of them and spend my money on other games instead.
your i5 3570 and 280x are just meeting the minimum needs, but not exceeding them.
You might still experience noticeable drops even when using the suggested specifications.
At least there is no 5820K as recommended This is a joke. a GTX 770/280X as minimum (whatever it means, I mean 1080p lowest settings 30 FPS?) is a joke, whereas these cards can play games at 1080p at Ultraish/high settings...
I appreciate how they highlight that point. At least 8350 on both the minimum and suggested settings... In GPULand it seems this game will be heavily dependent on the GPU... It might be similar to ACIII, where you can't easily disable certain features... Or perhaps it's another poorly optimized, GPU-intensive title, and Ubisoft isn't willing to invest extra time to improve performance and fully utilize the PC's capabilities.
To play any UBI game you generally need a strong approach like 'Brute Force.' I get the idea of optimizations and driver updates over the past 15 years, especially with GPU advancements, but instruction-wise things haven’t changed much since DX11.1/2. It’s still pretty challenging to improve something they were meant to use well, given what we know from early days and gaming history.
The publisher's stated minimum standards often lack clear meaning. We'll need to observe the results once it's published.
