I own a high-end gaming PC with an i7 4790, RX Vega 64, Asus B85M-G, 16GB DDR3 at 1600MHZ, and a 2560X1080 LG Ultrawide monitor at 75Hz. I can play most AAA titles in their highest resolutions, maintaining a smooth frame rate around 75FPS, such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of War, BF1, BF5, Mass Effect Andromeda, BO4, Warhammer 2, Ashes of Singularity, Destiny 2, and Frostpunk.

Ubisoft’s optimization is quite poor for a major company; small developers often create better-tuned games. It seems Ubisoft isn’t focused on PC gaming anymore, prioritizing consoles instead. Their main concern appears to be console sales, not improving performance or supporting modern graphics APIs like DX12 or Vulkan. While they have solid titles like Wildlands, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Watch Dogs 2, these often struggle—especially in urban areas. Games like Wildlands perform poorly against Shadow of War, and I can run maximum settings on SoW without issues, but it still struggles in cities.

Developers like Ubisoft, along with other companies and their servers, seem to exploit PC games for profit with minimal effort. If this trend continues, consoles will likely gain an advantage once the PS5 and 60FPS capable systems arrive.

They might attempt it, but they cannot alter the reality that the console market is declining while the PC market expands. My primary worry is that mobile gaming is diminishing traditional home gaming.

What do you anticipate from the firm that once labeled most PC gamers as pirates but now seems determined to speak a completely different language? Certainly their PC compatibility will be terrible. They show no interest in PCs at all; they've never cared. Their only goal is to collect your money. They might think we've overlooked this, but I definitely haven't.

Don't purchase Ubisoft titles then. I haven't bought any Ubisoft games since the original Watch Dogs. That was quite a mistake.

It seems they have successfully implemented their plan to combat pirates.

Making people install uPlay on consoles for no good reason only complicates things further.

Vega 64 is included in your issue, as their titles perform even worse on AMD. That initial splash screen is completely ridiculous.

Hey there, Ubisoft titles don't always perform well on consoles either! Playing AC: Origins on my Xbox One helped me realize the need for a gaming PC. Yes, their games can be tough to run even with top hardware, but I still really enjoy them.
