Finished GRW on laptop during summer. Now trying it on desktop PC, can't sync saves. Need help since others might have faced the same issue. Over summer I played GRW on my laptop in the camper with AC. Finally completed the campaign and some DLC. Moved to a desktop now. Playing GRW again but no option to continue. Cloud saves didn't work after turning them off, exiting Uplay, re-enabling them failed. Reached out to Ubisoft support who said new games require starting fresh. Please confirm this isn't correct so I don't have to repeat missions. TIA
What a joke! It’s like asking why we save files when we could just keep them in the cloud. I’d imagine Ubisoft would say that’s the only choice, right?
My thoughts exactly. Why even bother if it doesn't work like every other cloud save option ever lol. Don't really want to format laptop... yet. Trying to sell it atm so it will be formatted eventually I guess. I can't help but not believe Ubisoft unfortunately. Given their reputation and whatnot. There are always workarounds.
Have you attempted to reinstall and then completely remove all traces of Uplay?
I followed Revo to remove Uplay and ran a cleanup scan. The issue persisted. I investigated further and moved the save locations to my desktop, which resolved the problem. Appreciate the advice!
