Hi, I recently bought a new PC and added Watch Dogs 2 from Epic Games after installing it. After launching it via the Ubisoft Connect launcher, everything functioned smoothly for about 15 minutes. Then, unexpectedly, it crashed and forced to close without any warning messages or errors. This issue only occurred with Ubisoft games, while other titles worked fine.

Troubleshooting steps:
- Reinstalled the game
- Reinstalled Windows
- Updated all drivers
- Checked for Windows updates
- Adjusted Ubisoft Connect settings (closed in-game overlays, cloud save)
- Scanned for bad sectors on the drive

I attempted most solutions but the problem persists. I’m unable to identify the root cause despite checking everything.

Man, that’s really annoying. You’ve already put in a lot of effort, so congratulations on that. Given it only occurs with Ubisoft titles, it’s likely tied to how their games work with your system. Here are a few things you might still want to attempt:
1.
Launch Ubisoft Connect as Administrator
: Click the Ubisoft Connect icon and choose “Run as administrator.” This can sometimes resolve strange crashes.
2.
Look for Conflicts
: Verify if any background programs—such as Discord or GeForce Experience—are interfering with Ubisoft games. These can lead to problems even when other games run smoothly.
3.
Page File Configuration
: Review your Windows page file settings. Tweaking this might improve game stability, particularly for memory-heavy titles.
4.
Event Viewer Logs
: Immediately after the crash, open the Windows Event Viewer under “Windows Logs > Application.” This can reveal specific error messages linked to Ubisoft Connect or Watch Dogs 2, offering a potential solution.
