Hello everyone. I recently got a Dell XPS 9570 and overall it’s been quite enjoyable. There were some concerns I’d read about beforehand, which is why I’m sharing this. Some people mentioned the Killer Wi-Fi chip that Dell still uses can cause problems, and indeed, the day after unboxing I started experiencing connectivity issues. After removing and uninstalling the existing drivers, I installed the latest Killer driver set and haven’t faced any problems yet. Still, I’m interested in upgrading to an Intel Wi-Fi card. I’ve heard two main suggestions for this model: the Intel 9260 and the Intel 8265. I know some users have reported Bluetooth issues with the 9260 when used in this laptop, so I’m trying to decide which one is best. Additionally, I plan to perform a clean Windows installation next weekend and replace the standard Toshiba drive with a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB. While doing that, I also intend to repaste the CPU and GPU just to ensure fresh thermal paste. I’ve maintained a steady -150mV undervolt on core and cache, which has boosted my Cinebench R15 performance by about 100 cpb—from 1135 to roughly 1240. It consistently runs at around 3.91GHz turbo with the undervolt applied. Overall, I’m really satisfied with the laptop. Could you share your personal experiences or recommendations regarding Wi-Fi cards? Thanks!
