I get 30degrees at idle in os, in game i cant check. Tried hard info, and other softwares they give me nothing on cpu. downloading pharonix test suite, no way to start tests, but it gave my 30degree idle in os temp. using ubuntu 16.04.
Additional details are required here. A 30° is a reasonable temperature by itself, fitting Intel's guidelines. If the surrounding temperatures are -30°, a 60° difference becomes problematic. Load temperatures are important too. Running at a comfortable temperature compared to the environment but increasing speed can affect cooling if the mount isn't good or thermal transfer is lacking.
Find the right method to start up an application. Most users suggest checking the configuration file, but that doesn't apply to Linux. Pharonix isn't compatible either.
You're concerned the CPU might be overheating because the GPU runs at full capacity during intense gaming sessions.
