Skylake (i5 6600) works with TPM 2.0. Microsoft's choice not to include Skylake CPUs in Windows 11 isn't connected to TPM support. They simply didn't add Skylake to the approved list. It's unclear if there was an official explanation, but they're still backing Windows 10 until October 2025. The end of life for Windows 10 is more than a year away—so it won't be suddenly unusable. This isn't about patches disappearing quickly; it's just that no updates will follow after the deadline. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecy...me-and-pro
then comes the W10 LTS version that stays supported until 2032, which is what I use so it avoids unnecessary bloat plus extra security patches just in time for the W11 LTS version then I might think about upgrading since W11 seems even worse than the regular W10 with more bloat.
Hey there! I don’t play Valorant, but I’m not surprised you noticed that. It’s interesting how some features are only available on certain operating systems. Seems odd to need it on Windows 11, but it makes sense if it was supported on Windows 10. Quirky, right?
They might be aiming to boost security by targeting players with TPM 2.0 who are top-value gamers using Windows 11.
Thank you all for your support, and it was a pleasure sharing the insights—even the OT topics were valuable.
