the debate centers on whether using four 16GB DDR5 6000 memory modules is cost-effective compared to two 32GB units. opting for four sticks seems cheaper, especially with a 16GB configuration, while the thought is about balancing performance and budget.

Four DDR5 DIMMs seem questionable. It might function, but you shouldn’t assume it will work without issues. A BIOS update could lead to problems, and even then, the system might fail to boot with those modules installed. Considering the price difference of around $10, it probably isn’t worth the trouble.

I require 64 gigabytes but don’t want to exceed 200 dollars for RAM.

In the US, a 2x16GB setup is around $85, whereas a 2x32GB model is $170 for the same performance level. My view is they’re comparable in cost.

For a 64GB requirement, opt for a more affordable setup. Performance drops compared to the 6000 CL30, yet it won’t hit the same limits as running out of RAM.

the bioses are quite outdated for a 4 stick ddr5 setup. technically the boards can handle it, but dualrank is better than quad rank. these older ddr5 imcs struggle with quad rank and often get stuck below 5000. if you're really focused on ram costs, it’s likely you’ve already removed unnecessary parts like the board cpu cooler, ssd, or psu. just send over the partlist so you can confirm you’re not wasting money on extra components.

Pay more than $200 for stability or save less and take a risk. Choose what suits you. Tip: We encounter troubleshooting issues with 4 sticks on AM5 occasionally. Follow @RONOTHAN##

The most affordable option I found costs around 100€ for a 2x16 GB setup, which would be about 200€ for four 16 GB units. A 2x32 GB model is priced at 210€. The slight price gap isn’t worth the trouble of managing four sticks.
