You can still run your programs on C: even if you're using Windows on D:. The OS you choose at boot will determine which files are accessible. Drivers should be installed for the active OS, so your hardware will function properly.

It varies. Steam functions on a different drive when you have admin rights. 2) Not applicable.

You’d likely require a different license for Photoshop. Other tools like browsers and Skype should function properly.

Functions operate smoothly. I use a distinct HDD with the corresponding .exe, and everything runs as expected—just note that saved files often reside in C:\, which might make them hard to locate unless the game supports Steam Cloud.

Ensure the application is a portable format; otherwise, it functions best when installed on the operating system drive.

Relies on installation sequence and boot location. For example, if HDD0 holds OS 1 and HDD1 OS 2, each has its own bootloader on separate drives—selecting the correct OS depends on choosing the right drive. It’s unclear if Windows bootloader functions consistently across all drives; previous attempts failed. Note: If both operating systems are Windows, you might attempt compatibility by running certain applications, though they may need unique files and configurations.
