Internet performance is quite poor in my area. Most users get only 1MB per second, while some pay for up to 8MB. Connecting to DNS 8.8.8.8 usually takes between 67 and 300 milliseconds, with latencies ranging from 0 to 100 ms—this is extremely slow. I have an ADSL connection on my main line with 512KB upload and 2MB download speed. The main issue is increased ping during downloads, especially while gaming. I attempted to use Quality of Service settings on the modem-router to prioritize packets, but it didn<|pad|>, and even with specific ports for game servers, latency remains high. I plan to switch to another ADSL line for gaming and keep the other for general use. I need guidance on configuring my PC to download games via Steam from the first connection and play with the second, so I avoid extra lag. Any suggestions? Note: I use a dedicated motherboard card, internal network, and a Wi-Fi adapter.

What operating system are you running? There isn't a good solution for this. I'll halt downloads while in the game or try to find a stronger internet connection at home (look for a signal in the area). You can manage this, but it's not straightforward or as simple as games use a single network card and downloads on another.

Based on your network skills and equipment, a dual-WAN configuration can be set up to prioritize routes for specific destinations on certain interfaces. If you're comfortable doing this for one device, you could install a second network card, connect the high-speed port only to it, and configure routes for Steam/Origin/Uplay to use just that connection.

I didn't understand that. I can set up two WANs on one router, but how do I find the precise destination port for each game so I can route them through the specific WAN of the two?

If it were just a plug-and-play setup I wouldn't ask, and I can't achieve a better connection either. I've already described the situation. My Windows is 10 Enterprise x64, version 1809, and I haven't upgraded yet. What suggestions do you have?

There is a great way to do this, as I do it on pfSense. There isn't necessarily an easy (I mean that in the sense of having to learn how something like pfSense works, its not actually THAT complicated if you can follow instructions) or cheap way of doing it however. The catch is for maximum download speed to install games you want to use both connections at the same time, but then you also need to turn that off for online gaming. So its not seamless. Fortunately I do not play online games so I leave my gaming PCs and consoles using both connections over load balancing in the router.
