Two Factor Authentication launched
CIG has introduced two-factor authentication for accounts starting yesterday. This enables using a phone app or email as an additional security step to protect your account. They’ve also hidden certain account information behind a secondary login at the places you’re already logged in, such as your home computer. I for one am happy for this, I have spent way too much on this game and even though I feel my account is secure it makes me feel better to know that I have another line of defence.

The new two-factor methods seem to add another layer of risk, especially after seeing social engineering attacks on phone providers. Wouldn’t that make things more dangerous?
