Hey everyone, I'm really struggling here. After sharing about a strange crash on one of my PCs yesterday, another one in my house has experienced the same issue. Check out the photo below for the outcome – 9 blue dots appearing on a black screen in the lower right corner. Last time it was my 9900k + Z390 Ace + 3080ti, now it's my 8086k + Z390 and 2080ti (with extensions). Sometimes it boots into the desktop, but whenever anything loads the GPU, it just goes black with those blue dots. Usually, as soon as the BIOS splash appears, it’s the same black screen and dots. Once the BIOS screen disappears, I see the same thing. The Windows Management Console shows a few errors when I try to boot, which suggests a GPU problem. Even though the PC is still running but without a display, I haven’t reinstalled Windows yet – I plan to try that later today. To be honest, everything looks custom loop cooled, and I’m not sure if I should strip or just replace parts. This is really frustrating! Any suggestions?

It seems the Windows update altered the GPU drivers, added custom settings, and forced a reboot, but caused issues across multiple devices.

Both systems face the same issue. It looks like you made some unique changes for them. Edited August 6, 2023 by leclod

It seems the situation has changed unexpectedly. I restored Windows on one of the affected machines, and it started working properly. After running FurMark at 4k for a while, everything functioned without problems. Now, the Windows 11 installation isn’t activated anymore. That’s unusual since it was always set up with a digital license. Since the hardware hasn’t been altered, this must be something else.

Occasionally they make changes if you swap the RAM or replace the whole unit. The new Windows authentication system appears quite unstable and often causes problems. From what I've noticed, Windows 11 seems to have more issues compared to Windows 10.
