I've got speakers linked via the HDMI cable into my graphics card. Previously, there was just one way to choose playback devices. Now there are two options available. When I power on my computer, only one speaker works while the other doesn't produce sound. Over time, my monitor starts flashing black briefly, crashes during full-screen games, and the selected driver becomes unresponsive until another one takes over. After reinstalling the Nvidia drivers, the issue persists. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you attempt to remove the GPU driver using DDU, and if not, try that first. That should fully clear any GPU-related components before reinstalling them.
