Consider your setup carefully. You have an 8 GB 2400 RAM and a Ryzen 3 2200G with a single 16 GB 3200 RAM. Since you already own the 8 GB 2400 RAM, adding another 8 GB in dual channel would double memory capacity, which is great for multitasking. A single 16 GB 3200 RAM gives more total storage but less flexibility than dual channels. If you want better performance and efficiency, go with dual channel. If you need extra space, stick with a single 16 GB unit. Just check your motherboard support before deciding.

Option 1 would give you either three 8GB units or two 8GB units.

Dual channel might help, but it depends on the specific situation. There should be a clear point where this becomes relevant.

It might not be perfect, but around 75-80% is possible. Keep in mind the 2200g is an older Ryzen model with limited IMC, so it probably won’t support much RAM upgrading—maybe only to about 2933. That means the chances are likely low.

It's similar to saying 2x2400 is about the same as 1x4800, even though it doesn't quite match in practice.

Thank you, I wasn't aware it was that significant of a computation. Appreciate your effort.
