Twitch or YouTube for gaming content?
I have a job from 2 to 8 PM, and I see my girlfriend most of the day, so I'm torn. I also have 40 Mbps fiber at home, which gives me enough bandwidth. My i5 2500 should handle it, but I'm not sure how long I should stream. Maybe around 9:30 to 11 AM? Should I use OBS or XSplit Gamecaster?
You'll face challenges streaming in 1080p on a 2500, often needing to hit maximum usage. Adjusting settings early will help find the right mix of quality and performance. I rely on OBS instead of Shadowplay when it doesn't function properly.
If you're testing something, I suggest OBS—it's an excellent tool. I also use it for YouTube recordings; it performs very well and you can even capture both streams simultaneously if needed, such as for downloading the livestream file.
Consider the best moment based on your availability. Given your schedule, a short window works well.
