She has a Samsung All-in-one with an i5 3470T and Radeon HD 7690M. It runs a TeraScale 2 GPU that doesn’t support DirectX 12. Games relying on DirectX 12 but not DX11 won’t work for her.

You can find numerous titles that simply reference 12, while others include 11 and 12. Consider sorting by release order. It's likely she won't be playing many of the latest games, even if they remain compatible with DX11 and a 7690M graphics card.

Most games built for DX12 won't work on that platform anyway.

The GPU is quite limited. Many moderately demanding titles from the last few years won’t run well or feel good. DX9, DX10, and DX11 aren’t necessary.

Sure, it's an improvement over what came before, and there are many areas that might be adjusted for better performance.

DX9 could be a viable option. It varies based on the game in question.

Only DX12 titles should be your main worry. Many of them are very demanding and won't run even on DX11.
