I’m using a laptop for work in my home setup. It connects via HDMI to my monitor and sits on a mount that needs the lid closed while in use. I changed the default behavior when closing the lid, but I can’t find the BIOS setting for “wake with USB.” The device is a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-15 81CA. I’m trying to avoid removing it from the wall mount each morning and also don’t want to turn it off completely.

Attempt to turn off hibernation. It may automatically power down when placed there, possibly waking up via USB, but then transitions to hibernation after a few hours and cannot be awakened.

I didn’t fully turn off hibernation, but your feedback guided me to the right settings. I changed the power plan so it stays awake when plugged in but hibernates after 30 minutes on battery. Hybrid sleep is also enabled, which blends both modes and should suit my needs.

It's not on the side; it's located on the back. You might need to open it for access or a specific function.

It is on the side, I have not been able to wake the computer even with the power button if the lid is closed even after changing the lid settings. The power button will wake the laptop if I have the lid open. If there's a setting I am missing where I could use that button I would be happy to use that instead. I can include screenshots of any setting menus if you know of the settings I would need to change for that to happen.

On the edge, they probably hide it from the view until you press it by accident inside a bag...
