I believe I understand the situation well, but please verify from someone more experienced. Like everyone else, I've been learning about "Virtualization-Based Security" and its impact on performance. I've gone through several tutorials, yet system details still show "Virtualization-Based Security" as active. Disabling the hyper-v isn't feasible for me because I rely on WSL2 regularly for my tasks. (Most of the stacks I use are optimized for Linux, with some macOS compatibility issues.) My guess is that turning on hyper-v—especially together with WSL2—likely activates Virtualization-Based Security as well. Core isolation should be easily toggled off if needed. Performance slowdowns haven't been significant on my machine (Ryzen 7 5800X, 64GB RAM, 2060 Super), and I've probably been using VBS for a year already.
I have W11 running on a 7th generation processor and it functions properly with VBS active, no noticeable slowdown detected. I believe W11 might be problematic with Ryzen processors or its performance varies depending on the CPU model. After applying W11, I observe higher boost FPS in certain games compared to W10, and it's worth noting that 7th generation chips aren't officially supported anymore.
