Turn off the quick startup feature.
Turn off the quick startup feature.
Hello, I’m having trouble accessing the BIOS on my motherboard to activate a feature required for upgrading to Windows 11. Quick boot is already enabled, and after installing Gigabyte’s software there’s no way to uninstall it. I also removed my CMOS battery for half an hour and reinserted it, but quick boot remains active. Could anyone offer some guidance? Thank you in advance.
It seems you're having trouble accessing the BIOS. If Windows 10 is installed, press the shift key while clicking Restart from the Start menu to bring up the BIOS setup. Another method is to power off the PC using the shutdown button or unplugging the power cable during startup. After a couple of attempts, restart it and you should see WinRE again. There, you can adjust UEFI settings to switch back to BIOS if needed.
Alternatively, just power off and remove any storage devices such as SSDs or HDDs. Restart the PC, which will revert to BIOS and allow you to adjust settings, save changes, then turn off the storage device before restarting. This approach is reliable since most BIOS systems offer a BIOS/Setup option or direct access.
