Turning off only my Gmail account without shutting down other Google services. I want to stop getting emails sent to my Gmail address. Anyone who needs to reach me should use another non-Gmail email. Others will notice the old Gmail address won’t accept their messages. How can I do this? Tnx
I don't believe that's feasible. If you remove your Google account as recommended, it will also remove your other Google services and data. What you might consider is enabling an "Out-of-Office AutoReply" so recipients get a message indicating the email is no longer active and suggest using another address. If this seems useful, you can locate the AutoReply settings at the bottom of the General section in Gmail's options.
