Turn off and on your PC automatically with self-help!
Hello
today my pc restarted itself automatically without any blue screen or errors while playing bf6 for about two hours. I opened the Event Viewer and saw a kernel power crash at 41. I’m not sure what caused it, but after playing normally for around two hours, everything seems normal again. There’s no overheating on the CPU or GPU.

PSU: Antec 750W HCG (no issues in 2018)

*with my old RTX 3070 it worked fine*
This problem doesn’t occur often or every day. I think I’ll try updating if it happens again soon 😵
Sorry for the poor English
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
Are you using the PSU model antec 750w hcg?
This product page refers to the HCG-gold750 power supply.
Based on the BIOS release, you are using PCB version 1.x. Refer to the support page for the Z790-GAMING-X-AX-rev-1x at the provided link. Your current BIOS is set to microcode 0x12B. To upgrade, ensure you have the latest chipset drivers installed, then update the BIOS and finally reset the CMOS after confirming the update was applied successfully.
I had an RTX 3070 Ti and it worked fine.
Maybe the PSU isn't sufficient? 😵
i got it again while playing
this is the second time first time 16 days ago
but when it turn off and on i got this backscreen idk if this update or what
It seems like there might be a variation in the information provided. It could be an update notice. Check the Reliability History/Monitor for any error codes, warnings, or updates related to apps or utilities. Also, review the Windows Update History for failed or problematic updates. However, this doesn’t seem to be a Microsoft message. Could you clarify which game or games you are using?
i was playing BF6 in Reliability History
problem: windows wasn't closed properly
description
the last system shutdown at 11:04:15 PM on 23/01/2026 was unexpected.
it might be related to my psu?
i think it could be due to overload power and the psu activating protection mode, or maybe the psu isn't sufficient?
If you didn’t shut down the system in any way, my concern is that the 6-year-old PSU might begin to weaken and eventually fail.
Adding to existing issues with BIOS problems mentioned by @Lutfij,
I anticipate more complications may arise.
Make sure all crucial data is saved at least twice on separate devices far from the affected system. Check that these backups can be retrieved and understood.
Monitor the Reliability History/Monitor for additional errors and inconsistencies.
