I have a router mounted above me in my flat. My internet went down, but I’m considering installing a new HFC cable. I’m thinking about whether turning it off or keeping it on makes sense since I’m the only one using the WiFi. I’m roughly 15 meters away from the router, and with a floor and two thick concrete walls (30 cm each), I experience around 30/30 during the day and up to 60 Mbps at night. My signal strength is between 65% and 82%. I’m using a Netgear R7000, a TP-LINK Archer T6E 2.4/5.0 with auto channels, and I see around 2.4 GHz.
