Tuf X570 experienced a fire incident.
I've been running this motherboard for three months, and today the VRM caught fire. I haven't overclocked and haven't used a 600-watt Thermaltake power supply with my Ryzen 5 2600x. Could you help figure out what might have caused this? I'm worried about other components getting damaged. Also, does anyone else face problems with Asus's customer service?
Essentially, it seems the circuit shut down quickly. There could be an issue with a component between the contacts, causing the malfunction.
In reality, considering the price, it's among the best options available. The product you purchased seems to have been from a subpar batch or unit. It might have been due to an improper overclocking setting that wasn't suitable. There could be a short circuit linked to a defective batch or faulty hardware. Returning the device should be straightforward. Although the issue isn't necessarily the motherboard itself, it's advisable to replace the power supply unit since it appears to be a poor quality component.
The focus was on customer support, not product quality issues. The added cost for branding doesn’t justify the value in my region.
Support quality differs a lot between regions. Asus performs well locally but struggles in the UK.
They seem to lack the kind of support you find with EVGA or Corsair, which many consider top-notch.
