Your current BIOS version is 0809. Consider updating if you want the latest features. Regarding upgrading, you can jump to the next version (2214) directly, but it's safer to follow the incremental updates for stability.

Does this imply that modifying the BIOS might affect your hardware in a negative way?

Usually not, but it can affect stability, performance, or certain BIOS features/menus. I haven’t personally seen it stop supporting something, but I’d check the update page https://www.asus.com/uk/motherboards-com...pdesk_bios for details. Your BIOS updates since have addressed the issue with AMD X3D CPUs, so updating is recommended, especially if you’re using one.

I’m glad you were able to reach your BIOS without issues, but I’m interested in knowing if you faced any difficulties starting the board. You mentioned encountering errors 15 and C5, and whether you experienced similar problems. What steps did you take to resolve them? Take care and good luck!

You should keep the RAM speed at 6000MHz as it is. Disabling Expo and reverting to the default speed before updating the BIOS isn't necessary unless you're experiencing issues. The update process should handle compatibility, so sticking with the original settings is usually best.

it doesn't matter, you'll have to turn it back on again and again. bios will be reinitialized once.

I'm happy there were no issues. I tested two identical TUF B650E-E boards, both showing the same errors. They would briefly boot, then freeze on error 15 for about fifteen seconds before progressing to C5 and getting stuck. I've sent them back. Now I'm deciding what to do next. I still need a board, but I already have the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Corsair Dominator 6000 RAM. I'm stuck in a waiting position until I figure out the next step. Thanks for your help. I hope everything works out well.
