I looked over the cables and found no issues. Would you consider resetting the CMOS to see if it helps?

It could be useful to follow a straightforward troubleshooting method, so I recommend giving it a try.

It seems like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. After removing the battery, the reset didn't fix the issue, and you're unsure about the red light's meaning. It could indicate a hardware problem or an installation error. You might want to check the manual or consult a professional for clarity.
