Troubleshooting Guide: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X MOBO - ASUS ROG B450-F Gaming II GPU - ASUS TUF 4080 OC PSU - Corsair RM1000x https://pcpartpicker.com/b/KKDcCJ My latest 4080 from Asus isn't functioning on my system. After testing various setups, the GPU runs smoothly in an I5-7600 build with a B250 mining board and different power supplies or cables. I've reinstalled the motherboard BIOS, updated AMD chipsets from the official site, and performed a fresh install of NVIDIA display drivers. The UEFI GPU BIOS update from NVIDIA was completed. I haven't yet done a full Windows reinstall. With no built-in graphics, I placed my 1070 in PCI slot 1 and the 4080 in slot 2 to boot with a monitor. The card appears in Device Manager but shows code 43 occasionally. If I swap the slots, the motherboard displays a VGA error light and no output from either card. Without installed drivers, neither card shows display and the MOBO flashes AURA after a short delay. I have a Corsair 12VHPWR 2x8pin connector ready for alternative power configuration beyond the splitter. In short, the card supports multiple power supply configurations as confirmed by testing gaming sessions on an Intel mining rig, but all standard troubleshooting hasn't resolved the issue with my AMD build.
Are you certain the BIOS is current? Past problems have been linked to outdated settings.
