Trying to switch from a SandyBridge chip to an IvyBridge chip on my ASUS K53E and getting a blank screen.
with an i5 processor, the screen stays blank and I haven't flashed the BIOS yet. The laptop still boots up fine with the i3 2330M but after flashing the BIOS software (version 221 from October '12), it gave a reset cmos error. My CPU is properly seated, so please tell me what's wrong.
I don't see any place for that laptop to have support for Ivy Bridge chips.
