Have restarted it and I dont have wifi and cant find where I could add another device or something but the files (rtl8812au) have installed

It seems the package isn't available in Lubuntu. Try installing it with sudo apt install lshw.

I handled the installation of updates (many of them) and now have the lshw command. When I ran it, it displayed various formats and options, but I’m unsure how to select or execute another command to choose among them. I tried running it as a super user, but it still seemed incomplete or inaccurate. Overall, this isn’t going to be worthwhile despite all the help and suggestions. Thank you for your support—it really made a difference.
