I'm attempting to push my old PC's performance to see if it can handle Fortnite at a decent setting, but the voltage isn't increasing.
In a recent match, it ran smoothly until the screen froze and the audio began to buzz.
According to HWmonitor, the CPU temperature stays below 45°C during OC tests, so thermal issues aren’t likely the cause—though I’m not sure what else to check... haha.
I’m using an ASUS M4A89GTD pro/usb3 board with BIOS version 3029.
My setup includes a Corsair Dominator GT (1866mhz) with four 2GB RAM sticks.
I have a Zalman CNPS 9900max cooler.
The only ways to adjust the overclock in the BIOS are through voltage offset, but there’s no direct setting I can find.
I’ve watched many videos on this CPU and motherboard combination, all suggesting an offset of around 1.45V—not the one I’m seeing.
My goal is to reach stable speeds of 3.8–4 GHz, which seems like a challenge for me alone.
Could there be something I’m missing? Is my ultra 750W PSU providing enough power?

I managed to get it running at 3.6 for an hour using the OCCT small data set. Hit the maximum @48°C, set everything to auto except the multiplier. Very close to the target.
