Vista won't perform well with low-end processors. I faced issues launching it on a dual-core 1.83GHz system during its early days.

Used a 633MHz processor and 64MB RAM for some unusual tasks with Windows Vista on budget systems, though that didn’t quite succeed. Vista adjusts well with less memory, but it struggles significantly when RAM drops to around 256MB.
