Adjust the audio settings to switch one source to "listen" another. This feature applies to input devices, and you should have "what you hear" as one of them.

I tried to connect my microphone to the audio interface and speaker, but it didn’t respond. Could you give more details about what happens when you try to use it? That way I can help better.

In the image you're looking at, you haven't created anything yet, just picked which device will play back the microphone when you decide to listen. It's actually more challenging because I don't have a built-in tool to record what's happening on my PC. I used to have one on my old motherboard. It might be turned off since I usually don't rely on built-in audio. Instead, I'm using a VB-Audio Cable. If you've got it installed, these adjustments work well: change the mic setting to "Listen," send the output to CABLE Input (which repeats everything to CABLE Output), set the default playback device to CABLE Input (this means you won't hear desktop audio; for better results try a Stereo Mix from integrated audio or use a virtual audio controller like Voicemeeter), and finally specify the software you're using as the input source.

I set up the option for sharing audio via cable, but since my microphone isn’t working, I hope you understand. I tried to make it work as expected, but it’s not straightforward. You did a good job! Thanks.
