The Fallout series, particularly games 3, NV, and 4, are definitely worth checking out. Fallout 4 feels fairly recent.

Doom offers a lot of enjoyment and performs well, though I only experienced the campaign once at a low cost.

Fun games for playing with friends are often affordable. Popular titles include Terraria, Factorio, Pay Day 2, Borderlands 2, Civ V Magicka 2, Portal 2, and singleplayer options like Ac Origins. The Witcher 3 is also available. Shadow of Mordor is currently on sale, and Skyrim remains a great choice.
