I’ve tried a bunch of games this holiday: BF4, BF3, Metro, LL, CoD, Ghosts, Watch Dogs, Hitman, Absolution, Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, Thief, and My favorite ones. Any tips from these experiences?
I really enjoyed Wolfenstein: The New Order for all the reasons you mentioned. The visuals were decent and the narrative was engaging. Since it's a new release, you'll likely need to buy it at full cost... but it was definitely worth it.
The Witcher Series is an amazing series with a great plot and the Witcher 2 has some nice graphics
Metro 2033 The Walking Dead collection by Taletale. It really moved me, especially the first installment. The visuals are incredibly striking and stylish.
Other titles include those referenced earlier; Mass Effect series Witcher 1 & 2 (3 still out); Witcher 1 & 2 Dragon Age (3 not released yet); Metro series 2033 & Last Light Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas (features a main plot plus side stories); S.t.a.l.k.e.r. games such as Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, Call Of Pripyat; Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic 1 & 2 and Dishonored Alpha Protocol (considered underrated despite its issues).
