The issue is clear. My vision has always been sensitive. I’m a high school student who plays a lot of games and does a lot of schoolwork. I also use two monitors and want ways to protect my eyes and reduce strain. After gaming, my right eye tends to be red and feels weaker compared to the left. I sit at a comfortable distance from the screens and wear my glasses. I don’t want to rely on f.lux because I don’t mind a slight yellow tint showing to others. I’m open to other ideas besides gaming glasses—maybe some lenses that block blue light without changing the color too much. Eating certain foods could help, but I’m not sure what else works. My goal is to keep my vision good so I can enjoy gaming and my studies without problems.

Reduce screen brightness and activate ambient lighting. Avoid using a monitor in complete darkness. If possible, let natural light in through windows during the day.

I use gunnar glasses since I'm always on computers and they help, there is a software you can install but I don't do it since some computers aren't mine

I employ f.lux to adjust the screen brightness and color, making it more comfortable for your eyes.

Set up lights in front of your screens. I employ IKEA LEDs and adjust their hues based on the hour. Softer tones during daylight hours and a deeper purple at night. This works well for late-night gaming sessions.

That could assist by providing more control over brightness and color settings.

Yes, taking short breaks every few minutes can help.

the guideline states that for each 20 minutes spent watching, you should focus on an object 20 feet away after 20 minutes.

I've explored various options but found little relief for my eyes. What works best for me is enlarging the text whenever possible and occasionally glancing out the window at nearby buildings. This appears to be the most effective approach.

Low light levels combined with bright surroundings improve visibility. Set up your monitor during evening hours and keep regular room lighting on for balance. Limit gaming sessions to 1-2 hours max, followed by a 30-minute pause. Apply the same rule when reading from screens—boost font size to reduce strain.
