You have NES and SNES controllers, OpenEMU on OSX, and you're searching for classic games. You already own Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Urbz, Mario World, and some Super Metroid titles. Consider checking sites that offer emulated classics or retro game collections.

I heard this game is considered a top Super Metroid experience on GBA. There are some classic titles like Super Mario World, F-Zero, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past available for that platform. Visualboy Advance is a solid emulator option. I’m not sure about compatibility with your controllers or OSX, but I wouldn’t suggest any ROM sites.

The controllers support all games, OpenEMU runs it using the keyboard much like xpadder. It might be worth testing a few options, though they don’t require much storage.

Streets of Rage 1, 2 & 3 plus a few Sonic games make great retro gaming fun.

Some NES games include:
- Low-G Man
- Captain America and the Avengers
- Ninja Gaiden (especially version 3; skip the "improved" SNES edition)
- Contra
- Go Dizzy Go (notice how it looks oddly appealing...)
- Monster in My Pocket

For SNES:
- Chrono Trigger (essential to play!)
- Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
- Still in use – it remains a solid, enjoyable experience
- Challenging yet rewarding; definitely worth revisiting.

It's well recognized that both Chrono Trigger and FF6 (NA FF3) are essential gaming experiences for players at a moderate or higher level. Would you miss playing games with the classic "new game+" functionality?

Original Syphon Filter is my top choice. Destrega would be great if I met someone to play with.

I set up an external SSD using Windows2go just for this purpose so I can enjoy games on my MacBook. I actually own the original Syphon Filter, and I was planning to try Chrono Trigger. I used to play Final Fantasy 6 back then when I had the anthology edition. I intend to experience the PS1 era titles again (I have the 7 and 8 on Steam). Haven’t played Ninja Gaiden in a while! Maybe I’ll give it another shot too.

Since you're exploring emulation and classic titles, consider checking out arcade classics like CPS1/2, NeoGeo. I'll share a few games that come to mind, still enjoyable for me:

CPS1: Knights of the Round, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Warriors of Fate, Final Fight, King of Dragons
CPS2: Dungeons & Dragons, Darkstalkers, Street Fighter Alpha, Marvel vs Capcom
NeoGeo: Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, Garou, Breakers, Last Blade, Shock Troopers, World Heroes
