For PC at least, I suggest Hyper Light Drifter. It works well with a gamepad and is quite challenging, similar to Dark Souls in difficulty.

It's unclear what you're referring to, but "Joint Operations: Combined Arms Gold" is available on Steam. Try it if you're looking for a classic FPS that works on older systems.
