I set up the Quake 4 package using this command: sudo apt install quake4. When I tried to run it, it said I need a special tool called game-data-packager. Now the game-datapackager won't let me create the .deb file. Before someone asks, I actually own these games with their CD keys because I bought them years ago so I'm not stealing them illegally. I want to play them on my Linux computer. I looked everywhere and found nothing helpful here. Thanks.

Do you get any error message or specific results back? Can I read your logs? Basically, do we need to know why something failed just in case there isn't a clear error code telling us what's wrong?

I want to find out the exact command needed to make a .deb file for Quake 4. I have already copied all of the .pk4 files from my Quake 4 CD into a specific folder, so now I just need to know how to run it.
