He might check out Hell Let Loose. I haven’t played it, but it’s a WWII-themed game that feels similar to Allied Assault in style.

For WWII titles, the Brothers In Arms series is a solid choice. If you're into multiplayer, the latest COD offers decent performance, though I’d suggest Hell Let Loose for a more engaging experience. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl provides a moody atmosphere but has some technical issues.
